A retail worker was hospitalized after being assaulted during a robbery at a business on the first 100 block of Alpine Avenue Monday night, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:00 p.m. on March 10, 2025, following reports of a commercial robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that an adult female and an adult male had entered the retail establishment and stolen merchandise.
When a 28-year-old employee confronted the suspects and asked them to return the stolen items, the female suspect assaulted him. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in what appeared to be a white Dodge Caravan.
The suspects are described as follows:
- Suspect #1: An Indigenous female, estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, with a medium build and black hair. She was wearing a dark grey Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
- Suspect #2: An Indigenous male, also estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, wearing all black clothing.
The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to obtain more detailed descriptions of the suspects.
