EMAIL THREAT CLOSES ASPER JEWISH COMMUNITY CAMPUS THURSDAY EVENING

Police determined there was no threat after searching building

An emailed threat sent to the Asper Jewish Community Campus around 5:30 pm Thursday caused an evacuation of the facility for two hours as police investigated.

After searching police determined that the email threat was a hoax and the building was reopened.

This is not the first time a Jewish centre in Canada has been targeted. Similar threats have been made across Canada and the United States in the past several months.
