Just after 4:00 am Monday May 29, 2017 Winnipeg Police were called to the scene of a “serious incident”.

When officers arrived on scene they found a male in his 30s lying in the street bleeding with life-threatening injuries from apparent stab wounds

He was taken to hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable.

Police have not released the age of the victim but believe that the victim was injured at another location

Expect Ellice to be closed in both directions  between Sherbrook and Furby Streets as police continue the investigation
