Shortly after 1:30am Wednesday fire crews were sent to an apartment in the 400 block of Elgin.
The fire was contained to an 8th floor suite and was quickly put out. It appears to have been a fire on the stove.
Three people were removed from the suite. Two were treated on scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation the third was transported to hospital in stable condition.
