Electrical wiring to blame for Sloane Crescent fire

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a report of a fire in an attached garage of a single-family bungalow on Sloane Crescent around 10:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2020.

When firefighters arrived they saw heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the roof of the garage and the home.

Crews launched an offensive attack.

Everyone inside the home were able to get out safely before emergency crews arrived on the scene. No injuries were reported.

The fire was declared under control by 10:39 pm.

The cause of the blaze appears to have been caused by faulty electrical wiring.
