Online voter registration service seems popular

Since the start of the Elections Manitoba’s online voter registration service in the middle of April more than 5700 people have visited the site.

Elections Manitoba offered the online service to help voters keep their information up-to-date on the voter’s list which will make it easier for them come election day

3,100 were successful at searching if they were on the voters list and 1,029 were successful at registering to vote.

The online service allows you to check if you are registered to vote, update your personal information and register to vote if you are not already on the list.

In order to edit you information or register you will be asked to provide government-issued photo identification such as your driver’s license number or Manitoba Identification Card or to upload two pieces of acceptable identification.
