Vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic
A collision on Highway 59 just north of Scanterbury sent eight people to the hospital on Saturday morning, July 15, 2017.
It happened around 11:30 am when a Jeep being driven by a 27-year-old Winnipeg male drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed into a pick-up truck.
The driver of the Jeep and his three passengers were taken to hospital with various injuries.
The four people in the pick-up truck were also taken to the hospital. A female youth in the pick-up truck was in serious condition when she was transported say police.
Investigators say that alcohol wasn’t a factor in the accident and that everyone appears to have been using their seatbelts
Although the investigation is still underway RCMP says that charges are pending against the driver of the Jeep.
