Manitoba students get a failing grade when compared to the rest of Canada in a new report released by The Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) on Tuesday.
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) compares the skills of 15 year old students in 72 countries around the globe in math, science and reading.
On an international scale Canada ranked fourth in science but Manitoba was second from the bottom among all the provinces.
Since the time of the last test Manitoba students have dropped in scoring. Math and reading results are also disappointing as they are also below the national average.
