Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating after a fire in an Edmonton Street apartment building Wednesday evening, December 5, 2018.
Just after 8:oo pm fire crews responded to the 12 story apartment building and found a working fire. A second alarm was called in to increase the number of crews an equipment on scene.
Occupants in the building were moved to common areas away from the fire which was contained to one suite. Extensive smoke permeated several floors before the fire was extinguished.
The fire was put out just before 9:00 pm and residents were able to return to their homes after crews ventilated the building and checked air quality.
No injuries were reported.
