As News 4 has told you on July 16, 2017, around 10:30 pm police were called to the Manwin Hotel on Main Street for a report of an injured male lying in the entryway in a pool of blood.
The man was in critical condition and was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Investigators identified the victim as John Blaine Flett, 50, from Winnipeg.

Updated Story | Police identify homicide victim
Homicide detectives determined that a dispute had happened between the suspect and the victim leading to the victim being stabbed in the upper body.
On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, police arrested Eric John Guimond, 57 years old, from Winnipeg. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement in Flett’s death.
Guimond was detained in custody.
