RCMP is investigating a kidnapping of a Winnipeg woman on Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Police say that on MAy 20, 2021, they became aware of the kidnapping after a 44-year-old woman was able to get away and get medical help.
According to investigators the female had been held against her will and sexually assaulted over a period of time at a home on the First Nation.
54-year-old Blaine Lindsay Malcolm was arrested and has been charged for his alleged involvement with Kidnapping, Forcible Confinement, Sexual Assault, Assault, Administer Noxious Substance and Uttering Threats.
Malcolm was detained in custody as the investigation continues by RCMP Major Crime Services.
