EARLY MORNING STABBINGS SEND 6 PEOPLE TO HOSPITAL

 

 

Canada Day weekend violence

 

 

 

 

 

A large fight just after midnight Sunday morning sent three to hospital with stab wounds say police. 

It happened at Smith Street and St. Mary Avenue, right behind police HQ, after a large fight broke out. One person remains in critical condition and the other two are in stable condition.

WPS Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.

Shortly after the York and Smith fight police responded to reports of a stabbing at Flora Avenue at Arlington Street. When officers arrived they found a 21 year old female suffering from a stab wound. Police believe the incident involved a robbery.

Police also responded to a stabbing in the 500 block of Sherbrook Street around 1:30 am. When they arrived they found a 22 year old female stabbing victim in unstable condition. She was taken to hospital her current condition is unknown

Also around 1:30 an male in his 20s walked into a hospital emergency room with apparent stab wounds. Police were called learned that the victim was injured during a large fight at Main Street and Pioneer Avenue just north of the Forks. The male is in stable condition

Police continue to investigate all of these incidents.
