A 29-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot inside a lounge in the 100 block of Osborne Street early Thursday morning, February 6, 2025. Winnipeg Police Service officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:20 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside the establishment suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Officers provided immediate medical assistance, applying a chest seal before paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital in unstable condition, but his condition was later upgraded to stable.
Police say the suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. The firearm believed to have been used in the assault has not been located.
The Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. They are asking anyone with information, including those who may have video surveillance, camera, or dashcam footage related to the incident, to contact investigators at 204-986-6219.
