A gas station in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway became the target of an armed robbery early Thursday morning, March 13, 2025.
Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) officers from the East District General Patrol, supported by the K9 Unit, responded to the scene at approximately 4:45 a.m. following reports of a commercial robbery. According to police, a male suspect, clad entirely in black and concealing his face, entered the establishment and confronted a store employee behind the counter.
The suspect, armed with a weapon, demanded cigarettes. After obtaining the items, he fled the scene. Fortunately, the employee was not physically harmed during the incident.
The WPS’s Major Crimes Unit has now taken over the investigation. Detectives are currently working to gather more information and establish a more detailed description of the suspect.
