An early morning garage fire on Belmont Avenue could be seen several kilometres as an orange glow.

Just after 1:00 am on Sunday, April 30, 2023, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to the area and found a garage fully involved with fire.

Power and other utility lines were dropping from the intensity of the fire.

Emergency crews launched an immediate attack on the fire using handlines and had the flames knocked down within 10 minutes.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation
