Extreme temperatures keep hotel guests in rooms during fire
Fire crews were called to the Holiday Inn on Pembina Highway around 1:00 am Friday after a fire broke out in a second floor conference room.
When crews arrived they experienced smoke in the second floor hallway and discovered a small fire that they were able to quickly put out.
As outside temperatures hovered around -24c hotel guests were asked to stay in their rooms during the incident.
There were no reported injuries and fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
