Fire crews responded to a blaze in a two-storey townhouse complex in the 500 block of Dufferin Avenue on Monday evening, September 20, 2021.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from one of the suites and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control within 30 minutes.
Everyone who was inside the suite were able to get out. Neighbouring suites were evacuated as a precaution. Two dogs were rescued from the involved suite and handed over to Animal Services for care.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
