Fire officials believe that a malfunctioning dryer is the cause of a house fire in the 300 block of Aikins Street on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Crews were called to the home around 5:00 pm. When they arrived on the scene smoke was coming from the house. An offensive attack was launched with the fire declared under control at 5:14 pm.

Everyone in the home were able to get out before firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported.
