On Thursday, August 23, 2018, Winnipeg Police raided a home in the 500 block of Cathedral Avenue as part of an investigation into the illegal distribution of methamphetamine.
Police seized money, drugs and weapons from the home and arrested three people in connection to the raid.
Although only a small amount of cash was located police seized the following:
- SKS assault rifle with 60 round magazine
- Bolt-action 30-06 rifle
- Bolt-action 25-06 rifle
- Money counting machine
- Methamphetamine $300 street value
- Percocet, $900 street value
- Xanax pills
- Working Scales
- Packaging materials
- A case of 3.08 ammunition
Ashley Louie RICHARD, 43, from Winnipeg was charged for his alleged involvement with:
- CDSA 5.2 x 3 – Methamphetamine, Percocet, & Xanax
- Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possess Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 6
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possess Firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered
- Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x 2
- Fail to Comply Probation x 3
- Warrant of Arrest x 2
- Drive Prohibited
Geraldine Faye RICHARD, 44, from Winnipeg, has been charged for her alleged involvement with:
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x 2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possess Firearm knowing Serial Number had been tampered with
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 3
- Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
Police also arrested a 31-year-old female on two outstanding warrants
All three accused were detained in custody
