DRUGS | TWO MORE LIVES CLAIMED DUE TO SUSPECTED FENTANYL OVERDOSE

Two more people died over the weekend after suspected fentanyl overdoses.

Police found the body of a man in his 30s in a hotel in the exchange district on Sunday afternoon. They also found drugs and drug paraphernalia at the scene. Police cannot confirm the cause of death or what drugs were found but they do suspect that fentanyl played a role.

Two more men were found in a home in Richmond West on Kinlock Lane around 9:30 pm Sunday night. The pair, a 21 year old and a 22 year old, were taken to hospital in critical condition. The 22 year old has since died because of a suspected fentanyl overdose. The 21 year old remains in critical condition. Police confirm that drugs were found in the home but cannot confirm they are fentanyl until they are tested.

Last week police found the bodies of two women and a man in a home on Petriw Bay. Although not confirmed yet police believe fentanyl played a role in those deaths.
