Hosfsted Drive raid finds cocaine, edibles and cash

Winnipeg Police say one man is facing drug traffickingrelated charges after members of the Guns and Gangs Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code search warrants.

It happened Thursday afternoon just before 2:00 pm in the 100 block of Hosfsted Drive.

Two people in the home were taken into during the search which uncovered 13 ounces of cocaine worth about $26,000 on the street, edible cannabis cash and drug materials used for drug trafficking.

Charges were only laid against one of the individuals, a 32-year-old-male, while an adult female was released without charges.

The male is facing the following charges for his alleged involvement Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

Police say he was released on a promise to appear.
