Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a 43-year-old Winnipeg man after seizing weapons and drugs during a raid on his residence.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a suite in the 1600 block of Notre Dame Avenue on October 27, 2017, after general patrol officers began an investigation into a male who was in possession of a firearm.
As officers searched the residence they located and seized:
- A loaded .22 LR calibre/.410 gauge over/under combination gun with both barrels sawed off and a defaced serial number.
- 28 .22 calibre cartridges.
- 1.87 grams of ketamine (valued at approximately $180).
- 1.34 grams of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $195).

Keith James William Stewner, 43 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x2)
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of a Weapon (x2)
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x2)
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possession for the Purpose of Weapons Trafficking
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance – Ketamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Stewner was detained in custody.
