Winnipeg Police have arrested three people after they spotted a vehicle driving at what they describe as a high rate of speed in the area of Main Street and Armstrong Avenue.

Police pulled the vehicle over in the 1100 block of Aikins Street. Two of the three people in the vehicle lied to police about their identities but officers determined that the pair were wanted on outstanding warrants.

A female, who had lied, kicked one of the arresting officers as she was being placed in custody. a search of her person resulted in police finding a hunting knife in her possession. Officers searched the vehicle and found a second knife under the driver’s seat along with methamphetamine, cocaine and $180 in cash.

Kevin Grant Lingasin, 37 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.

Desiree Sadie Ann Cushnie, an 18-year-old female from Winnipeg, has been charged for her alleged involvement with Assault a Peace Officer, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Forged Document with Intent, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

Jason Steven Tre Sanderson,22 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

All three were detained in custody
