RCMP have arrested and charged a 28-year-old male in connection to a firearm incident in the Teulon area on October 26, 2022.
Police say they were called to the area after receiving a report that a male was carrying a firearm in the area. Shortly afterwards police said they received a report that a gunshot had been heard.
Officers investigated and learned the accused allegedly went to a business on Highway 7, Pulled out a firearm and pointed it at a male. The victim fled and the suspect could not be located. No injuries were reported.
Further investigation led police to identify the suspect and on October 30 he was arrested without incident in Stonewall. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of two loaded firearms, meth and cash.
Mitchell Ritchot from the RM of Rockwood has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking as well as numerous firearm-related charges.
He was detained in custody.
Police continue to investigate.
