UPDATE: Since the original story was published the charges against the two individuals have been stayed.
Two people are facing a number of weapons, explosive and Possession charges after Thompson RCMP raided a home in the Westwood area of the northern community.
Police say that on October 22, 2018, they executed a search warrant looking for illegal drugs when they came across 14 firearms, mining explosives, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash.
An outside explosive expert was brought in to deal with removing the explosives from the scene.
43 -year-old Shawn Gelasco and 41-year-old Ruth Gelasco were arrested and charged for their alleged involvement.
Police say that the pair has other drug charges pending.
