Two facing charges after police raid Sandy Bay First Nation home

Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) raided a home in Sandy Bay First Nation on Friday, July 6, 2018.

Police seized about 800 grams of cannabis along with “Shatter” (Phyto Extractions) and THC distillate. They also found 50 grams of what appears to be Cocaine and a large number of prescription pills, $33,000 in cash. Officers also found weapons and ammunition.

A 35-year-old male and a 37-year-old female were arrested and are facing multiple drug and other charges.

Both accused are being held until they appear in court on July 9, 2018, in Portage la Prairie.
