Five busted on drug and weapon charges after police conduct two raids on Osborne Village homes

Winnipeg Police have placed several people behind bars after they conducted two raids on Osborne Village area homes.

Police tell News 4 that on Friday, November 3, 2017, they raided a residence in the 100 block of Roslyn Road and another residence in the 300 block of Gertrude Avenue.

During the raids, officers seized:

Roslyn Road Raid 

  • Cash – in excess of $150,000.00
  • 7 pounds of Marihuana
  • 100 grams of Marihuana Resin
  • 29 Fentanyl blotter tabs
  • 3.2 grams of Fentanyl Powder
  • Bulletproof vest
  • Brass Knuckles
  • 12 Rounds of .357 Magnum ammunition
  • Money counter
  • Packaging materials
  • Documentation
  • Contaminated press plates
  • Various Hells Angels support wear
  • Full Patch Zig Zag Crew Vest

 

Gertrude Avenue Raid

  • 2.5 kilos of Cocaine
  • 502.3 grams MDMA
  • Approximately 75 kilograms of Benzocaine
  • 2 contaminated scales
  • Packaging materials
  • Cocaine contaminated cooking pot
  • Contaminated blender and measuring cups
  • Several ounces of an unknown substance
  • Numerous empty kilo packaging

Three males and one female were arrested during the raids and face a number of drug and weapon-related charges. The male suspects were detained in custody and the female was released on a promise to appear in court.

 

On November 8, 2017 police also arrested a 26-year-old male on a number of drug-related offences. He was also detained in custody.
