Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit raided a Hawthorne Street home on May 12, 2023 as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
More than five kilograms of cocaine were seized from inside the home worth about $235,000.00 on the street. Officers also seized $120,000.00 in Canadian currency, a billiard ball weapon, packaging materials (including a vacuum sealer & a press) and a money counter.
26-year-old Riely Jordan MacDonald was charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Possession of a Weapon and two counts of Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking.
He was detained in custody.
