Drug and Weapons Bust in Winnipeg’s North End

In a significant operation led by the Winnipeg Police Service North District Community Support Unit, three individuals were arrested on June 19, 2024, following the execution of search warrants at a residence on the 500 block of Boyd Avenue. The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Guns & Gangs Unit, Tactical Support Team, West District Community Support Unit, and the Drone Unit.

At approximately 6:05 p.m., officers descended on the residence, arresting three occupants identified as Daniel Arthur Lachance, 38, Gilbert Richard Pelletier, 57, and Olga Livingston. The trio has been charged with numerous drug and weapon-related offences and are currently detained in custody.

During the search, officers seized an array of weapons and drugs. The weapons haul included a 9mm rifle, a loaded and modified 12-gauge shotgun, a pellet rifle, an airsoft replica shotgun, an airsoft handgun, another rifle, a crossbow, and various 12-gauge and 9mm ammunition. A stolen E-bike valued at $2500 was also recovered from the residence.

The drug seizure comprised over 7 grams of Cocaine with an estimated street value of $500, approximately 55 grams of Methamphetamine valued at $700, and Crack Cocaine worth $180. Over $4800 in Canadian currency, packaging material, and contaminated scales were also found on the premises.
