DRONES | WINNIPEG FIREFIGHTERS WANT A DRONE

If city council approves the plan Winnipeg Firefighters may be taking to the skies.

The Fire Paramedic service has put in a proposal to implement a pilot project to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) at major incidents.

Drones would allow incident commanders the ability to get a bird’s eye view of fire or rescue scenes according to the fire service.

If approved the pilot project would cost approximately $31,000.
