Winnipeg Police have a 35-year-old male in custody after he stabbed a vehicle then threatened the driver in the intersection at McGillivary Boulevard and Pembina Highway.
According to officers, the man was seen swinging a knife in the middle of the intersection around 9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
When tactical officers along with general patrol members arrived on scene the man confronted police by getting into a fighting stance.
he male then dropped the knife according to police and approached officers. When he failed to listen to their commands a taser was used to subdue him so that he could be safely arrested.
Jeremy Brad Barker is facing charges for his alleged involvement of:
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon
- Mischief Under $5,000/Obstruct in Enjoyment
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He was detained in custody.
