A 28-year-old Manitoba male driver learned the hard way how not to get a huge fine, get a suspended licence and have his vehicle impounded.
RCMP say the driver was pulled over on Highway 15 on October 28, 2021 travelling 176/kmh in a 100 zone. He told officers that he was “late for an appointment”. The driver also blew a fail and received $1,745 in fines, is prohibited from driving for three months and gets the privilege of paying 30 days of impound fees after his vehicle was seized by police.
RCMP say that the driver will also have to undergo a licence review with MPI.
