Driver involved in rollover airlifted to hospital

Firefighters from the RM of Macdonald responded to a serious vehicle rollover on McGillvary Boulevard just inside the Perimeter Highway near Oak Bluff on Friday night, January 15, 2021.

Shortly after 9:00 pm a vehicle left the road and rolled end over end for more than 100 feet in an adjacent field. The driver was ejected during the collision and suffered serious injuries.

STARS Air Ambulance was called in and transported the victim to Health Sciences Centre.

Based on the impacts in the field and the distance the vehicle landed from the roadway the car was moving very quickly when the collision occurred.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the collision.
