A 19-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested and charged in connection to the October 18, 2022, fatal collision on St. Mary’s Road at Guay Street.
The single-vehicle collision sent the 18-year-old male driver and passenger to hospital in critical condition but the 17-year-old male passenger died from his injuries.
At the time of the collision police said the vehicle hit a utility pole.
Police have charged the driver on October 7, 2023, for his alleged involvement with Criminal Negligence Cause Death.
Officers say that speed and manner of driving were factor in the collision.
Police have not released the name of the accused but say he has been released from custody
