RCMP have reported that the driver of a semi that lost control and rolled into the ditch on June 21, 2017 has died of his injuries.
The accident happened on Highway 7 just north of the Perimeter Highway. A northbound empty gravel trailer lost control and rolled into the east side ditch. The semi was the only vehicle involved. Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver was taken to hospital in critical condition. He died a week later on June 29, 2017
RCMP say that a forensic collision reconstructionist is involved in the investigation. They do not believe speed or alcohol play a factor in the collision.
