The driver of an SUV was having a bad morning after crashing his vehicle outside the north end police station on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the scene minutes after 2:00 am and found a vehicle partially in a hole in the road inside a construction zone.
It appears that the driver drove through a barricade on a closed section of Hartford Avenue that was under construction and drove into a void in the roadway that was being prepared for concrete.
Paramedics checked the driver but he could be heard refusing medical treatment and asking firefighters if he could leave the scene.
