A Manitoba driver “showing off ” for his friends is facing a hefty fine and possible loss of his license after RCMP caught him speeding on Highway 75.
Police say that on September 22, 2021, they clocked the 20-year-old driver going 223 kilometres per hour in a 100 km/h zone near Highway 29 in the RM of Morris.
He was issued a serious offence notice which brings with it a license review by Manitoba Public Insurance and a hearing with a Judicial Justice of the Peace who will determine the amount of any fines associated with the infraction.
