Winnipeg Police has arrested and charged the 34-year-old driver of a vehicle involved in the 2019 fatal collision with two pedestrians.
Police said at the time that the vehicle was westbound on Regent Avenue West when it hit a male and female pedestrian in the intersection at Panet Road.
Both pedestrians were critically injured and later died in hospital.
After a year-long investigation police charged the driver for his alleged involvement with two counts of Drive Carlessly – Cause Death and tow counts of Speeding – Cause Death.
The driver was released on a promise to appear in court.
