Man borrows vehicle for drive-by shooting

Winnipeg Police have arrested a 21-year-old male after he allegedly shot at a home in the 200 block of Redwood Avenue.

Just after midnight on February 4, 2018, a male borrowed a car from a female he had just met at a bar in the Weston Area.

He drove the care to Redwood Avenue an fired a number of rounds through the front window of a suite where a 24-year-old female and her two infant daughters were sleeping.

The man then returned to the bar and picked up the woman, driving back to her place.

When they arrived at the woman’s home in the Inkster-Faraday area the man retrieved the rifle he had used in the Redwood shooting out of the back seat. The female was upset that there was a rifle in her vehicle.

The male at this point struck the woman in the side of the head with the stock of the rifle.

Police were called and were able to locate the suspect in the back lane in the 600 block of Mountain Avenue with the help of Air-1.

Allan David Graveline, 21 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

– Discharge a Firearm with Intent
– Possession of a Weapon
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
– Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
– Assault with a Weapon
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)

He was detained in custody.
