A 25-year-old woman was taken into custody early Sunday morning for causing a disturbance on Portage Avenue in front of Portage Place Mall.
Police were called around 2:15 am after witnesses saw the woman walking into traffic in the westbound lanes of Portage Avenue.
When she eventually got onto the sidewalk she got into several arguments with passers by and threw punches at at least three of them.
In an email to News 4 police say that none of the people the woman allegedly accosted would speak to police about the incident and assault charges have not been laid.
The woman is facing charges for causing a disturbance and was detained in custody due to her level of intoxication.
