Winnipeg doctor charged with eight more sexual assaults on female patients

In October News 4 told you about a 51-year-old Winnipeg doctor who had been arrested for sexual assault after a 19-year-old female patient reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted during an examination.

Winnipeg Sex Crimes Unit began an investigation.

The suspect Amir Houshang Mazhariravesh, AKA  Dr Amir Ravesh, turned himself into police and was charged with Sexual Assault.

Police say that since his arrest eight additional female victims have come forward ranging in age from 24 to 69 years of age.

On Thursday, November 2, 2017, Dr. Amir Ravesh was once again placed under arrest and charged with eight additional counts of Sexual Assault. He was also charged with one count of Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration.

Police say that Ravesh has been detained in custody.

Investigators say that the offences took place between 2013 and October 2017 at a medical clinic in the 300 block of Johnson Avenue West.

The investigation continues.
