Diver drowns in West Hawk Lake

RCMP are investigating the drowning of a 55-year-old male in West Hawk Lake on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

According to police, the man was diving with two other divers at approximately 20 metres below the surface when the companion divers noticed he needed help.

They brought him to the surface and taken to shore where resuscitation was immediately started. Police say that despite the efforts of the bystanders the diver was declared dead at the scene.

RCMP continue to investigate.
