A developing system in Alberta could potentially bring a large area of freezing rain to portions of southwest Manitoba and the Red River Valley on Sunday, November 5, 2023. According to ECCC the freezing rain is expected to begin early Sunday morning and cover a larger area as it moves eastward. North of the freezing rain, potential heavy snow will spread from western Manitoba through the Interlake.

ECCC say that at the time of writing, there is significant uncertainty with the system due to variation in temperature, timing and location.
