Parking ban on snow routes starts two hours earlier at 12:00am Wednesday

The City of Winnipeg has declared a snow route parking ban again tonight. That means that vehicles cannot park on snow routes between 12:00am and 7:am. That extends the nightly ban by 2 hours.

The says that due to the volume of snow that came down in Winnipeg over the last 24 hours the extended ban will help facilitate clearing operations on main routes, bus routes and collector streets.

Sidewalks on main routes and active transportation paths adjacent to main routes are also being cleared until completed. Back lane clearing will start Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until completed.
