Firefighters responded to reports of a fire around 2:15 am on Thursday August 13, 2020, in the 100 block of Barber Street.
The deck on the outside of the one-and-a-half storey house was well-involved when crews arrived and an offensive attack was launched. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Everyone inside the building was able to get out before emergency crews arrived. No one was injured.
The Deck was destroyed in the blaze and the house suffered damage to the exterior siding.
The cause of the fire was due to the improper disposal of a cigarette and is considered accidental.
