Manitoba First Nations Police Service say that just after 4:00 pm on December 23, 2021, officers received a report of a body being found in a field on Sandy Bay First Nation.
When officers arrived on the scene they were able to identify the deceased as a 45-year-old female from the community.
Police are continuing to investigate the death but say they do not believe the death to be suspicious in nature.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police.
