RCMP find debris in search for plane crash

RCMP say that they have found debris in the search for a downed aircraft.

On Saturday October 26, 2019, just after 8:30 am Police received a report that a plane had crashed 280 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg near Little Grand Rapids.

RCMP say that witnesses told them the plane had clipped a tree before plunging into the water.

Three people were confirmed to have been on the plane as RCMP began a search the plane.

Searchers say that debris from the crash has been found on Family Lake.

The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team is on scene and will be searching below the surface of the lake.
