For the second time within two weeks an inmate at the Winnipeg Remand Centre has died.
The inmate was rushed to hospital earlier in the day in serious condition.
Manitoba Corrections will not say what caused the inmate to be taken to hospital citing privacy and health privacy legislation as the reason.
As required by legislation Manitoba Corrections will be conducting an internal review of the case and they have notified the Chief Medical Examiner’s office.
