Dauphin man facing charges after shots fired at a vehicle

A 27-year-old Dauphin man is facing a number of charges related to shots fired at a vehicle on September 23, 2022.

Police were called to 6th Avenue Southwest in Dauphin around 6:20 pm after receiving a report of an assault and shots fired. Officers found two victims, a 27-year-old female and a 58-year-old man when they arrived.

Officers determined that the victims had been confronted by two females as they were entering a business. During the confrontation, the female victim was hit in the head with what police describe as a “hard object” and the male victim was cut. The female suspect fled the scene.

 

Firearm seized during arrest (Manitoba RCMP)

As the victims got into their vehicle and began to drive away a male fired a firearm at the victim’s vehicle, hitting the passenger side. Police say the shot did not hit either victim.

Peter Flatfoot was arrested on September 26 and at the time of his arrest was in possession of a modified firearm. He has been charged for his alleged involvement with multiple firearms-related charges along with Mischief and Resist Arrest.

The female suspects still remain at large.
