RCMP in Dauphin have seized a quantity of drugs and weapons after two traffic stops in the community over the weekend.
Just after 9:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019, police stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Dauphin. A search of the vehicle uncovered 764 grams of cocaine along with assorted drug paraphernalia.
Steven Gerald Catagas, 36, from Grandview was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Failing to Comply with Recognizance for his alleged involvement.
Early Sunday morning, March 17, 2019, another traffic stop, this time on 4th Avenue S.E. resulted in the seizure of 11 grams of meth, cash and various weapons including a can of bear spray and a taser.
Roger Flatfoot, 29, from Dauphin was taken into custody and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (x3), and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
